Here is John the tourist checking out the famous Pike's Place Market.
I'm not sure where in Washington this bridge is but John took this picture for the boys. It reminded him of the bridge in the book Thomas And The Big Big Bridge which is beloved and ragged from lots of use in our home. Asher is especially obsessed with all things related to Gaba Gaba Whoo Whoos(his own private term for train engines). So there it is, John's tribute to Thomas and all his friends. (Do ya think he misses his kids? Maybe... just a bit. My first thought was ahhhhh...what a sweet dad.)
John's good friend Chuck was able to fly down this weekend to hang-out and he took him to Discovery Park. I think it's in the
most north-west corner of the Seattle area. As you can see it's very picturesque and beautiful. So John and Chuck are walking along communing with nature(in a very manly way, of course) and BAM...things start to get a little stinky. Literally. John's looking at Chuck and Chuck is looking at John and they are asking themselves what reeks? Then they turn the corner and there it is...Seattle's sewage treatment facility. It seemed a little out of place smack dab in the middle of Discovery Park, but also strangely comforting to know that Anchorage isn't the only city that thinks sewage treatment and good views belong together. Good times in Stinky in Seattle!

John John John. Lucky for him the sewage treatment place was right there! Looks like he is doing good, but homesick!
I love Pike's Place! You should tell him to visit the Zoo and the Auquarium too... they might not smell as nasty as the other places he's fond of visiting!! Good times in Seattle!!
Have you ever noticed that when john is getting his picture taken (of just himself) he either has his hands in his pockets or on one hand, his finger tips together?
They are called the Tacoma Narrows Bridges. The south bound one is the only toll road in Seattle, and I Have to cross it at least six times a week.
